tender loving care.

More than just a place to get a hot meal, it is a friendly
"home-like" place
where all are welcome and can find fellowship, acceptance and compassion.
A Hopeful Future
Granted, these are difficult times for many people.
Recent disasters remind us that no one is really immune to what can happen.
At some point in our lives, most of us will need a helping hand.
We, at the Open Door Food Kitchen plan to be around for a long time.
In order to make that possible, we need to make some improvements.
Here are our immediate needs:
Renovation of the Kitchen area -- Move the cooking area
-- Relocate the volunteer lounge and rest room
Upgrade the electrical service -- Ventilation system -- Replace ovens and
add a griddle -- Replace floor and install drain -- Replace floor in dinig
area -- Replace tables -- Replace utensils|

Why are we doing this?
We seek these improvements to create an environment that is safe,
clean and efficent.
The workign poor, the homeless, the friendless, the single parents and the
senior citizens
look to the Open Door Food Kitchen for a safe haven. We wish to make it
just that.
